This is a 2-piece 3D printed hood vent block off plate for the BMW E46 chassis. This plate replaces the top half of the 2-piece OEM vent and comes in 2 styles, with or without support for the OEM spray nozzles.
THIS REQUIRES MODIFICATION OF THE OEM PIECE. Once separated, the 3D printed block off plate will screw to the bottom half of the OEM unit, enabling you to retain the use of the OEM clips.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
–Currently, only the dual nozzles on each side is supported. The single heated nozzle isn’t supported yet (Contact me if you have a heated model).
-Should fit most E46 chassis.
-Minor disassembly of the OEM trim is required.
-Comes with attachment screws (x16)
INSTALLATION:
You will need to remove the 16 plastic welds (Red in below image) that hold the 2 halves of the OEM trim together. A pair of flush cutters works fine.
Then simply install the washer nozzles the same as the OEM trim, slot the 2 halves of the block off plate together, and screw the 2 pieces together with the provided screws.
